Reservation needs to be made, we didn't have one, but the staff was so accommodating and got us a table within the time limit which was suitable to us. Food was fantastic & service was good even though it was a busy weekend night. A paradise for meat lovers, pork belly bites & homemade sausage rolls to start, rib-eye steaks & sausages with champ for mains. Spoke with the Chef ‘Dragon’ who even gave us tips on cooking steak at home & how to make the best sausage rolls! T22 September 2026Fab Sunday Lunch in Brizzle!!! OMG... A last minute decision, never been before, but visiting friends they booked for Sunday Lunch... WOW!!! The slightly rustic looks hide the fact that this place knows what it's doing... just THE BEST Sunday lunch for ages! One had roast beef... One had crispy pork belly... One had the vegetarian cheese and leek sausage... All three were just fabulous. Plentiful, with gorgeous veg too... obviously we orderd too much... but we very nearly ate it all! We drank the champagne with it was a bit extravagant but it was a light touch to the earthy sausage flavour. A Pearce11 August 2026Went to this restaurant last night with my partner for her birthday. I booked it a few weeks ago and contacted them upon booking to see if they would be able to decorate the table for me and do something a bit more special for my partners birthday. I asked if they would be able to get some flowers for the table (at my expense) that we could then bring home after. They agreed to do this and also asked if we would like a glass/ bottle of something special on arrival which I agreed to. I offered to pay up front for the flowers and the table decorations but they said there was no need and would add it to the bill. When we arrived the table was very well presented with balloons on the wall above the table. There was a lovely bunch of flowers in a vase on the table and a couple of party poppers. We also had a glass of Prosecco. This was a great touch and made it that little bit more special. The staff Very polite, pleasant, accommodating and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble and as agreed beforehand they arranged the bouquet of flowers that we had spoken about and went and collected these from a local florist in the afternoon. There were plenty of staff on hand if you needed anything but equally they weren’t hovering around and trying to get you in and out as quickly as possible. The atmosphere The location was not overly busy but there were a nice amount of people there for a Monday night. It was relatively quiet and very relaxed. The restaurant was clean, tidy and very well presented. The food (the most important part) The food was excellent. We had some chicken skewers and pigs in blankets to start and me and my partner shared them. These were both very nice and very tasty. For the main event I had The Clifton sausage tasting plate (with champ) and my partner had The Clifton sausage with mash of the day which was Sour cream and chive. The food arrived in good time and was absolutely banging. Well presented, good portion sizes and very tasty. We were both quite full up by the time we had finished but I can never turn down a cheesecake so had to have the chocolate and salted caramel cheesecake which tasted amazing. When the staff brought my pudding out they came out with a bowl of ice cream with a candle in it for my partner and sang happy birthday to her which was a great touch. The only issue we encountered was my partner wanted an Aperol Spritz but they had run out over the very busy weekend for the Ballon fiesta and had not been able to get a delivery. A staff member (bless him) went to Tesco and Co-op to try and get some and they had both sold out. No big deal and had we known this we would have ordered something else rather than staff going out to try and get some. All in all a great experience. Staff lovely, couldn’t do enough for you and nothing was too much trouble. Food was amazing with great portion sizes and very tasty. Atmosphere was good and restaurant was tidy and well presented. The main thing was my partner had a great meal and evening so thank you for making it that little bit more special for her. D B5 July 2026Fantastic food! From the outside, you wouldn't think the restaurant is as big as it is. Plenty of space between the tables. Had toad in the hole with jalapeño mash and red cabbage, it was absolutely superb. It came with our own individual jugs of gravy, which was also yummy. All washed down with a lovely pink fizz. One of us went for The Clifton Sausage Tasting Plate: The Clifton, Old Spot pork, lamb & beef sausages with parsnip crisps. All served with mash or champ (preferred choice) and lashings of onion gravy. Very tasty and very filling! N2 April 2026Just that little bit different… Pub ? Gastropub ? Restaurant ? Whatever, take the best of each genre and combine it to deliver in effect, this great eatery. Clean, contemporary, minimalist and interesting…these were my first impressions alongside there being the warmest of welcomes from Sabina. She’s ‘out front’ and goes about her business with authority, accountability and lots of EQ - ‘We’d reserved this table for you, but I’m now thinking this one would be a little quieter for you ?’ The menu isn’t extensive and guess what ? There’s an emphasis on sausages ! But there’s a nice smattering of other meats too and there was a fish option on the ‘daily special’. And everything on paper sounds tempting. Thereafter, reality lived up to expectation, with the 30ish minute wait for the mains to arrive, ‘worth it’ - quality cuts, lots of taste, generous portions and expert cooking. Crystal served with great passion and engagement and is a super Ambassador. S D12 March 2026Glamorgan leek, Caerphilly & Cheddar (v) - nice but basically cheese croquettes. Needed more leek maybe, a bit more something anyway. Side of cauliflower cheese was excellent. Desserts were nice, but they got one wrong.
